This piece has descend directly from Sheikh Abdul-Amir Khazal, whose career included serving as the Ambassador of the King of Persia to Kuwait and later as Master of Ceremonies at the Shah’s Royal Palace until the late 1970s. Presented as a personal gift from His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said Al Said of Oman to the Sheikh and his wife, Sheikha Khazal, and bearing the Sultan’s personal emblem, this piece has remained within the family's collection for over four decades.
